$smarty->display('index.tpl');

index.tpl:

{$articleTitle}
{$articleTitle|upper}

输出结果：

If Strike isn't Settled Quickly it may Last a While.
IF STRIKE ISN'T SETTLED QUICKLY IT MAY LAST A WHILE.
